Police are looking for a man who fled on foot after a high speed police chase Monday morning in Scarborough.

Police Tried to Stop Vehicle and Driver Fled from Officers

The Scarborough Police Department said officers were attempting to pull over a gray Ford Fusion on Payne Road around 9:50 am.

Driver Sped Away from Police at a High Rate of Speed

The driver did not comply and fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Police discontinued the pursuit due to the vehicle’s operation.

Vehicle Located and Confirmed as the Suspect’s Car

Police received a call later about a vehicle that was sitting just off Payne road. Officers confirmed the vehicle as the one in the chase.

Male Driver Fled Vehicle on Foot and Left the Scene

The male driver and single occupant had already fled the scene on foot.

K-9 Team Searched for Man Who Fled From Police

A K-9 team responded and did a search for the suspect, but did not locate the man.
