Matthew Olsen from Harrison was taken into custody around midnight after New Hampshire State Police called for assistance from the Maine State Police.

Olsen was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck erratically and at high speeds during the police pursuit.
Driver Rammed a Police Cruiser During Chase
The driver “refused to stop for a local police department in New Hampshire, and during the chase, he rammed one of NHSP's cruisers,” said the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Police Pursuit in New Hampshire into Maine
Maine State Police Troopers took over the pursuit after Olsen crossed the state line and continued on the Maine Turnpike.
Drove Over Curb and Damaged Wheels and Tried to Flee on I-95
Olsen was apprehended near the Kennebunk Rest Area after he drove over a curb and tried to continue on the Interstate. His tires were seriously damaged after hitting the curb.

Olsen’s vehicle was disabled after police used a PIT maneuver (Precision Immobilization Technique).
Suspect Faces Multiple Charges Including Operating Under the Influence
He was charged with Operating Under the Influence, Eluding an Officer, Reckless Conduct, and Criminal Speed.
Driver Taken to Hospital and Booked at County Jail
Olsen was transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution and then taken to the York County Jail and booked.
