Two men were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession after 2.6 pounds of marijuana was seized along with a variety of illegal drugs.

A 36-year-old man and a 35-year-old man were apprehended after a vehicle was searched at a residence near Pine Point Beach in Scarborough.

Police seized 2.6 pounds of marijuana, 395 grams of cocaine, oxycodone pills and $1,700 in suspected drug money.

Two Men Arrested and Transported to the County Jailed

A 36-year-old man, Omar Shir, and 35-year-old Mohamed Abdullahi were apprehended and taken into custody.

Police charged Shir with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Aggravated Furnishing of Drugs, Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention and Criminal Forfeiture of Property.
