A 33-year-old man was arrested Sunday evening after a police chase in a stolen vehicle from Limington.

Spike Mats Disabled Stolen Pickup Truck and Driver Arrested

Shaun Webster from Limington was apprehended after spike mats disabled the stolen pickup truck on Route 113 in Hiram.

Police Chase Started When Driver in Stolen Truck Did Not Pull Over

The pursuit started around 5:54 pm on Route 25 when the Maine State Police tried to pull over Webster for poor operation.

Pickup Truck Reported Stolen Before Pursuit

The pickup truck had been reported stolen from a Limington residence an hour earlier.

Driver Refused to Pull Over and Fled from Police

Webster did not stop and sped away and continued the police chase into Standish.

Police Chase Continued through Several Towns

The pursuit went into Baldwin and Hiram where the spike mats were deployed and the vehicle was disabled.

Man Faces Multiple Charges Including Operating Under the Influence

Webster was charged with Theft by Unauthorized Use, Failure to Stop for a Law Enforcement, Driving to Endanger, Operating Under the Influence, Aggravated Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass and Passing a Roadblock.

Booked in County Jail with Ongoing Investigation

He was transported to the York County Jail and booked. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
