Woman Arrested and Charged with Murder of 14-Year-Old in Maine
A 39-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with Murder of a 14-year-old male in Sidney, Maine.
Woman Charged with Murder of 14-Year-Old
The Maine State Police said Megan McDonald was arrested Friday around 1:45 pm.
Died from Asphyxiation, Strangulation and Sharp Force Injury
The 14-year-old died from “a combination of asphyxiation, manual strangulation, and sharp force injury,” said the Office of Chief Medical Examiner. The death was ruled a homicide.
Body of Male Juvenile Found Outside
His body was found outside of a residence on Summerhaven Road following a well-being check.
Suspect Reported Incident to Sheriff's Office
McDonald had reported the incident to the Androscoggin County Sheriff's around 5:27 am. The Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office was contacted for the Sidney location.
Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit Central were investigating and processing the scene. More details will be released, said the Maine Department of Public Safety.
