47-Year-Old Man Arrested for Murder after Shooting in Maine

A 47-year-old man was arrested for murder after a woman was killed and three others were injured after a shooting in Portland.

Man Charged with Murder

The Portland Police Department said Aaron Karp of Naples turned himself in Thursday after an arrest warrant was issued.

Woman Died after Shooting in Parking Lot

Karp is accused of shooting 54-year-old Susan McHugh of Gray in a parking lot on Forest Avenue near Morrills Corner on July 30.

Three Men Injured

Three men were also injured in the shooting including a 48-year-old Yarmouth man, a 51-year-old man from Gray and a 45-year-old New Hampshire man.

Suspect Owns Tattoo Shop Near Shooting

Karp is the owner of Almost Famous Tattoo on Forest Avenue, said WGME News. The shooting took place across the street from the business.

Search Warrant at Tattoo Shop

Police had executed a search warrant at the tattoo shop and a residence in Gray on August 2.

Held Without Bail

Karp was taken to the Cumberland County Jail and is being held without bail.
