13-Year-Old Charged with Shooting 14-Year-old in Maine

A 13-year-old male was arrested Thursday evening and charged with shooting a 14-year-old male in Lewiston.

13-Year-Old and 15-Year-Old Charged after 14-Year-Old Shot

A 15-year-old was also taken into custody and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

14-Year-Old Shot in the Leg and Seriously Injured

The 14-year-old victim was seriously injured from a gunshot wound to the leg.

Victim Taken to the Hospital with a Gunshot Wound

He was transported to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment and listed in stable condition.

Shooting on the Street

The shooting happened around 4:30 pm on Avon Street.

Witnesses Heard Screams and Gunshots and Saw Teens Running

Witnesses reported hearing screaming and several gunshots. Teenagers were seen running from the scene, according to the Lewiston Police Department.

Two Teens Involved in the Shooting Taken to Long Creek

Both the 13-year-old and 15-year-old were taken to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.
