Man Sentenced to 7 Years for Trafficking & Possession in Maine
A 39-year-old man was sentenced to seven years in prison for drug trafficking and possession of fentanyl and meth.
Seven Years in Prison for Drug Trafficking and Possession
Tyler Campbell from Portland was charged with distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl, and possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Man Pleaded Guilty
He will also have four years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty on February 15, 2024.
Transactions with Source Recorded and Filmed
Campbell was arrested in February 2023 after two purchases of meth by a “cooperating source.” The transactions were recorded and filmed, according to court records.
100% Pure Meth Sold to DEA Source
Campbell sold the source 84 grams of “100% pure” meth, said the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
Sold 92 Grams of Fentanyl
DEA set up another buy and Campbell sold the source 92 grams of fentanyl.
Arrested with Large Amounts of Drugs and Money
Campbell was carrying more drugs and cash when he was apprehended, including 142.6 grams of pure meth.
