Wardens Searching for Missing Husband & Wife in Maine
The Maine Warden Service is looking for a missing husband and wife in Alexander.
Married Couple and Dog Missing
Wardens said 72-year-old Pamela Helmstadter and 82-year-old John Helmstadter were last in contact with their family on Saturday evening.
Wardens: Couple Probably on Foot
The married couple “likely left their residence on 26 Pine Tree Shore Road in Alexander Sunday or Monday morning on foot, as their vehicles are still at their residence,” said Mark Latti, Communications Director, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.
Family Dog also Missing
The couple’s 1-year-old black lab named Lucy is also missing. They were reported missing Wednesday evening.
Descriptions of Missing Persons
Pamela is described as 5’3 and 120 pounds. She has gray hair and green eyes. John is 5’ 10” with gray hair and brown eyes. Officials did not know what they were wearing.
Dogs and Plane being used to Search
Multiple agencies are searching including the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Maine Warden Service, Maine Forest Service. Maine Search and Rescue Dogs have been searching the area on foot. A Maine Warden Service Plane.is also being used.
