Police Looking for Suspect after Stabbing Man & Fleeing in Maine
Police are looking for a male suspect after a 59-year-old man was stabbed outside the Family Dollar in Sanford Sunday night.
Man Stabbed and Seriously Injured
The victim was seriously injured with stab wounds in his back and left side of his body. He was taken to Maine Medical Center. Name was not released.
Bystanders Trying to Control Bleeding
When officers arrived on the scene around 10 pm, the victim was on his knees and people were trying to help control the bleeding.
“May have been Ongoing Fight”
Sanford Police said “the incident may have been the result of an ongoing fight between both parties, but it remains unclear what the fight was about or if any specific incident led up to it.”
Description of Suspect
The description of the suspect is a man with long hair who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a hat.
