Search for Daughter after Dad’s Body Found on Katahdin in Maine

The body of a 58-year-old man was found on Mount Katahdin Tuesday and search teams continue to look for his missing 28-year-old daughter.

Baxter State Park officials said the body of Tim Keiderling was located near the summit around 2:45 pm.

Search for Daughter

Crews continue to search for the man's daughter, Esther Keiderling from Ulster Park, New York, said WGME News.

Vehicle Left in Day Parking Lot

The father and daughter were last seen around 10:15 pm Sunday hiking towards the summit. Rangers started a search after finding their vehicle in the day parking lot on Monday.

Helicopter with Infrared Used in Search

Three helicopters were used from the Maine Warden Service. The Maine National Guard also used a Blackhawk and Lakota Helicopter with infrared thermal imaging.
