
Two Men Charged with Robbery after Home Invasion & Chase in Maine
Two men and a woman were apprehended following a police chase Monday after a home invasion and robbery in Corinth.
Robbery and Home Invasion
The Maine State Police said 56-year-old Gary Roshto from Charleston burst into a woman’s residence, pushed her to the floor, took her jewelry, then left in a dark colored car.
Victim got License Plate
The victim did not know Roshto. She was able to get the vehicle’s license plate and reported it.
Police Chase
A Fire Marshal spotted his car and tried to pull his vehicle over. He did not stop and sped away, leading police on a chase.
Suspects Crashed and Fled on Foot
Roshto crashed his vehicle during the pursuit. Two men fled the car into the nearby woods. A female stayed in the vehicle.
Two Men Arrested
Officers arrested Roshto and 35-year-old Kevin Bowley of Lagrange a short time later.
Robbery Charges
Roshto was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and faces charges for Robbery and Eluding. Bowley was summonsed for Robbery. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
Woman Taken to Hospital
The woman in the vehicle, 52-year-old Cynthia Williams from Milo, was also taken to the hospital with injuries. She will be summonsed at a later date.
