
Six People Arrested after a High-Risk Warrant Executed in Maine
A “High-Risk” search warrant was executed in Sanford and six people were arrested after drugs and money was seized.
Six Charged after Drug Investigation
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Sanford Police served the warrant at 8 York Street on Tuesday morning after a months-long investigation.
Armed Drug Trafficking and Undercover Buys
Law enforcement observed “individuals trafficking illegal drugs being armed with firearms” at the location. Multiple undercover purchases were made from 44-year-old John Leroy Gray.
High-Risk Search Warrant
The warrant was “High-Risk” due to “the seriousness of the drug trafficking charges, suspected firearms possession, and safety concerns for the neighborhood residents and officers,” said MDEA.
17 People Detained in Residence
Agents and police detained 17 people inside the residence. Six were arrested and 11 people were released.
Drugs, Money and Pellet Guns Seized
Officials seized approximately 40 grams of fentanyl, $1,800 in suspected drug proceeds and additional evidence of illegal drug trafficking. Four “realistic style pellet guns” were found, but no firearms.
Six People Arrested and Charged
- John Leroy Gray 44, of Sanford was charged with two counts of Aggravated Drug Trafficking. Bail was set at $25,000 cash
- Patrick Bachelor 48, of Sanford, faces charges for Failing to Appear in Court.
- Katie Boyatsis, 28, of Dover, New Hampshire was taken into custody for a warrant Drug Possession charge and Probation Revocation. No Bail was set.
- Jessica Taylor, 40, of Shapleigh, had three warrants for Failing to Appear in Court, Theft, Violation of Conditional Release. Her bail was $600.
- Tyler Cann 32, of Sanford apprehended for a warrant charging Failure to Appear in Court.
- Marissa Tomarchio, 28, of Sanford, was charged with Failing to Appear in Court, Bail was set at $250.
Taken to Jail
All six were transported to the York County Jail without incident.
