Two Men Charged with Armed Robbery after Evading Police in Maine
Two men were arrested for two armed robberies and fleeing from police in Maine.
Two Men Arrested for Armed Robbery
The York County Sheriff’s Office said 41-year-old Timothy Riley from Westbrook and 37-year-old Kyle Allman from Hollis were both charged with armed robbery.
Armed Robbery at Variety Store
The first robbery happened Friday, June 7 at the Maine Street Variety in Buxton after a man showed a bank teller a gun and demanded the cash drawer. He then fled the scene in a Nissan Frontier.
Armed Robbery at Bank
The second armed robbery took place Wednesday in Waterboro at the Gorham Savings Bank on Sokokis Trail. Employees and one customer were in the bank at the time. No injuries were reported. The man fled on a dirt bike.
Suspects Fled from Police and Crashed
Police identified the men as Riley and Allman and located them in a vehicle Wednesday night in Hollis. The suspects fled from officers and later crashed in Buxton.
First Man Arrested
Riley was apprehended Wednesday night and charged him with armed robbery in connection with Maine Street Variety and Gorham Savings Bank.
Second Man Arrested
Allman was taken into custody Thursday night after a search warrant was executed at a residence in Hollis. He was charged with armed robbery at Main Street Variety.
Transported to Jail
They were both taken to the York County Jail.
