Two people were seriously injured Sunday night after an ATV crash on Owlsboro Road in North Dexter.

Thrown from ATV

The driver and passenger were thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured. They were "both conscious and breathing,” said the Dexter Fire Department.

Transported by UTV

The victims were taken to the hospital by UTV around 11:14 pm. Names and ages were not released.

Rescue Toboggan used to Extract Injured

First responders also used a rescue toboggan to transport the two injured people. Some crews hiked on foot to locate the rolled over ATV.

Multi-Agency Response

Responding to the scene was the Dexter Fire Department, Corinna Fire Department, Dover Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance, the Dexter Police Department and Maine Warden Service.
