Two Arrested on Felony Drug Trafficking Charges in Maine
A 29-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested for felony drug trafficking after a traffic stop on Union Street in Bangor.
Two Arrested Drug Charges after Traffic Stop
Jasmine Donovan from Maine and Sandy Alexander Mateo-Ruiz from the Dominican Republic were taken into custody Tuesday.
MDEA got Information about Drugs Coming to Maine
MDEA Agents had received information they were traveling to Maine from Massachusetts to distribute drugs in Northern Penobscot County, said WGME News.
Drugs and Cash Seized
A K-9 detected drugs in their vehicle during the traffic stop. Agents and Bangor police searched the vehicle and seized approximately 290 grams of Fentanyl and $560 dollars in suspected drug proceeds. The estimated street value of the drugs is over $40,000.
Aggravated Drug Trafficking Charges
Donovan and Mateo-Ruiz were charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking. His bail was set at $100,000 cash. Her bail was $50,000 cash or Surety.
