A 58-year-old mother and her 32-year-old daughter died from gunshot wounds Sunday morning and the 66-year-old father died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Bath.

Two Women and One Man Dead after Shootings

Police found Lisa Bailey and her daughter, Jennifer Bailey, dead from gunshot wounds around 7:00 am at 10 Crawford Drive after reports of a shooting.

Mother and Daughter Found Dead from Gunshots

The Maine State Police said “despite lifesaving efforts both women were pronounced deceased on scene.”

Suspect was Husband and Father to Victims

The suspect in the shootings, Michael Bailey from Bath, was married to Lisa and was Jennifer’s father.

Father Found Dead from Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound

Police found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the Crawford residence. Police had initially believed he fled the scene.

Chief Medical Examiner Autopsies

The bodies were taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for autopsies.

Law Enforcement Investigating

Bath and Brunswick Police Departments, Deputies from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office and Maine State Police were on the scene investigating.
