One Person Died after Crash & Car Fire in Maine
One person died after crashing into a traffic light pole and the vehicle burst into flames on Route 1 in Falmouth.
One Dead after Crash and Fire
The Falmouth Police Department said the crash happened around 2:20 am Tuesday morning.
Vehicle Engulfed in Flames
“The vehicle was completely engulfed in flames when officers arrived,” said Falmouth PD.
Car Fire Extinguished and Body Found
The dead body was found after the fire was extinguished. The victim’s name and age were not released.
Icy Roads at Time of Crash
Police said the roads were icy at the time of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
Identity and Cause of Death
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was working to identify the person on the cause of death.
