A 70-year-old man died Saturday after his pickup truck crashed into two other vehicles in Boothbay.

Truck Hit Two Vehicles Parked in a Driveway

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said the man from Edgecomb was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 on Wiscasset Road when the vehicle crossed the centerline, went into a driveway, collided with two unoccupied cars and ended up against a shed.

Man Died at the Crash Site

He was pronounced dead at the scene after first responders attempted life-saving measures but were not able to save the man.

Medical Event Suspected as Cause of Crash

“Neither speed nor alcohol are considered factors in the crash. A medical event is suspected as the primary cause, pending final determination by the Office of Chief Medical Examiner,” said the Sheriff’s Office.

Not Wearing a Seatbelt and Airbags Not Deployed

The man was the only one in the pickup truck. He was not wearing a seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. Name was not released. No other injuries were reported.

Multiple Agencies Responded to the Crash

Assisting the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was the Boothbay Fire Department, the Boothbay Region Ambulance Service and Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service.
