
One Man Died and One Person Escaped after Fire in Maine
One man died and another person escaped a house fire Friday afternoon on Smith Road in Lebanon.
Man’s Body Found after Fire
The Fire Marshal’s Office said “investigators located a deceased adult male among the remains.”
One Injured and Taken to Hospital
Another person escaped the fire and was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
Identification of Victim
The deceased was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta. An autopsy will be done for a positive identification.
Ongoing Fire Investigation
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Updates will be posted on social media when more information is released.
