
Man Seriously Injured after Car was Airborne 100 Feet in Maine
A man was seriously injured after his vehicle crashed and was airborne over 100 feet in Medway.
Man Seriously Injured after Crash
The crash happened near Medway Road and Grindstone Road Thursday night around 11 pm.
Vehicle in the Woods
The East Millinocket Police Department said the vehicle was hundreds of feet in the woods over an embankment.
Airborne Over 100 Feet
“Evidence at the scene appears the vehicle was airborne for well over 100 feet,” said police.
Trapped in Vehicle with Serious Injuries
The driver was seriously injured and trapped in the vehicle. The Medway Fire Department and the East Millinocket Fire Department used the jaws of life to extricate him.
Flown to Hospital
He was flown by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Name and age were not released.
Speed and Alcohol
“Speed and alcohol appear to be factors,” said East Millinocket PD. The crash is under investigation.
