Drug Possession Arrest after Man Fled from Police in Maine
A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday for drug possession after running from police in Lewiston and giving officers false information.
Drugs and Cash Seized after Traffic Stop
The Lewiston Police Department said Abdurahim Ibrahim from Lewiston was in possession of crack, cocaine powder, unprescribed prescription medication, and over $2,100 cash.
Suspect Fled on Foot before Arrest
Ibrahim was pulled over on Main Street and gave officers a false name and tried to flee on foot. He was apprehended and taken into custody.
Charged with Several Crimes
Ibrahim was charged with 5 counts of unlawful drug possession, operating a vehicle without a license, refusing to submit to arrest, failing to provide correct name, address, date of birth and criminal forfeiture of property.
Ongoing Investigation
Ibrahim was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
