Three Women Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Maine
Three women were arrested and fentanyl, meth and a handgun were seized as part of a month-long drug trafficking investigation in Warren, Maine.
Three Women Arrested for Drug Trafficking and Other Charges
The MDEA said 63-year-old Denise Richards from Warren, 34-year-old Marissa Widdecomb from Union and 33-year-old Claire Turner from Warren were taken into custody Wednesday.
Investigation Started after Overdose
The drug trafficking investigation started in March 2024 after the overdose death of a 52-year-old woman at Richard’s home in Warren.
Undercover Drug Purchases
“During the month-long investigation, agents conducted undercover purchases of fentanyl from Richards and Widdecomb at Richard’s residence,” said the MDEA.
Search Warrant Executed
MDEA Agents from the Mid-Coast and South-Central District Task Forces and Deputies with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Wednesday at a residence at 1094 Eastern Road.
Drugs and Handgun Seized
Law enforcement seized 30 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of fentanyl, and a loaded .380 caliber handgun. All three women were at the house at the time of the search and were arrested.
Three Women Face Multiple Charges
- Denise Richards was charged with Aggravated Drug Unlawful Trafficking (Fentanyl & Methamphetamine), Possession of a Firearm by A Prohibited Person. Her bail was set at $25,000 cash and being held by State Probation and Parole.
- Marissa Widdecomb faces Aggravated Unlawful Drug Trafficking (Fentanyl), Arrest Warrant charging Failure to Appear in Court/Aggravated Unlawful Drug Trafficking. No bail was set.
- Claire Turner was charged with Unlawful Drug Possession (Fentanyl). No bail was set. She was held by State Probation and Parole.
