37-Year-Old Man Arrested after a Shooting & Police Chase in Maine
A 37-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after one person was shot on Franklin Street in Bangor.
Multiple Charges Following Shooting and Chases
Todd Whitman from Hermon was charged with aggravated assault, theft, eluding, reckless conduct, and burglary of a motor vehicle.
Suspect Fled the Crime Scene
The Bangor Police said Whitman drove away from the scene of the shooting around 9 pm. The victim identified him as the suspect, said WABI News.
Vehicle Located and Police Pursuit
Police chased Whitman before calling off the pursuit. His vehicle was later found parked at a house in Hermon.
Foot Chase and Arrest
Whitman then led police on another chase. Whitman stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers apprehended him on Davis Street and he was arrested.
Victim Injured
The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries.
