A 42-year-old woman was seriously injured Tuesday evening after being hit by a car backing out of a driveway in West Paris, Maine.
Driver Backing out of Driveway Hit Woman Walking
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said was walking past a driveway on Main Street around 4:40 pm when she was hit by a 25-year-old man from West Paris who was backing out of the driveway.
Woman Seriously Injured and Transported to Hospital
She was taken to Stephen’s Memorial Hospital in Norway with serious injuries, said WGME News.
Distraction and Inattention Factors in Crash
Driven distraction and inattention are factors in the crash, said the Sheriff’s Office. No charges have been filed. The crash is under investigation.
