Woman Charged with OUI after Crashing into Utility Pole in Maine
A 48-year-old woman was arrested Friday for Operating under the Influence of Drugs after she crashed into a utility pole in Cumberland.
Woman Charged with OUI of Drugs after Crash
Police said Heather Gammon was speeding on Powell Road towards Route 88 when she went off the road and collided with a utility pole and mailbox.
Utility Pole and Mailbox Destroyed
The pole was broken with electrical wires in the road. The mailbox was destroyed, said WMTW News.
Driver Taken to the Hospital
Gammon was transported to Main Medical Center for an evaluation. She was charged with Operating under the Influence of Drugs.
Road Closed, Pole Fixed and Power Restored
The road was closed, the pole was fixed and power was restored after several hours.
