
Woman Charged with Shooting Gun at People During Fight in Maine
A 22-year-old woman was arrested Thursday and charged with firing a gun at people during a street fight in Lewiston.
Gun Fired at Several People During an Altercation
The fight and shooting happened around 5:36 pm in the vicinity of Pine Street and Howard Street.
Fired Multiple Rounds at a Group in the Street
The Lewiston Police Department were called to the scene and spoke to several witnesses who said the woman “involved in the dispute fired multiple rounds at a group she had just argued with in the street.”
Cell Video of Incident and Woman’s Identity
One person who saw the incident had video on a cellphone. Leyla Isaak was identified as the woman involved.
Bullets Struck Parked Car
No injuries were reported in the shooting. Bullets hit a parked car in the area and officers located multiple shell casings.
Taken into Custody and Transported to County Jail
Isaak was later apprehended and the gun believed to be used was recovered.

Woman Facing Several Charges Including Aggravated Reckless Conduct
She was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail and charged with Aggravated Reckless Conduct, Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon (5 counts) and Criminal Mischief (for rounds striking a vehicle).
