Deputies came under gunfire while executing a search warrant at a residence in Steuben as a part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Four Taken into Custody after Gunfire

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said four people were arrested at 71 Augusta Drive. No injuries were reported.

Four Arrested and Charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking

All four suspects were charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking including 37-year-old Nena Willey from Steuben, and three from Boston, 22-year-old Erilyn Diaz Gomez, 24-year-old Freudi A. Ganzales-Adame and 18-year-old Yeremi A. Baez.

Extensive Criminal History and Deportation Orders

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said “both Gomez and Gonzales have extensive criminal history out of Massachusetts as well as previous deportation orders.”

Drugs and Cash Seized with Search Warrant

During the search, Deputies seized 272.7 grams of Cocaine, 4.3 grams of Fentanyl and $1,373 in cash.

Two Previously Arrested at Same Residence

Two other people were arrested earlier at the same residence during a warrant check after drug paraphernalia was found.

Two People Charged with Drug Possession

A 42-year-old man, Corey Perry, and 36-year-old Laura Anderson were charged with Unlawful Drug Possession. Perry was on probation for a prior criminal conviction.

Taken to County Jail with More Charges Probable

All suspects were transported to the Washington County Jail. Additional charges are pending. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Assisting the Sheriff's Office was the Gouldsboro Police Department, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
