
Woman Arrested after 11 Mile Police Chase in Maine
A 34-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday morning after a police chase through several towns in Oxford County.
Driving Recklessly
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said Sydney Whitelaw from Stoneham was spotted “driving recklessly on Route 5 in Lovell on Wednesday around 7:50 a.m.”
Fled from Police
Whitelaw fled from a deputy during an attempted traffic stop.
11 Mile Police Chase
The chase lasted for 11 miles as deputies pursued her vehicle through multiple towns in the area.
Pulled into her Driveway and Stopped
The chase ended when Whitelaw pulled into her driveway and stopped.
Criminal Speed and Eluding Officer
She was arrested and charged with criminal speed and eluding an officer. Whitelaw was transported to the Oxford County Jail.
