
Two Men Charged after Police Chase in Stolen Vehicle in Maine
Two men were arrested and charged Friday night after a police chase and crash in a stolen vehicle in Casco.
Two Men Charged
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said 19-year Abdiaziz Ibrahim from Portland and 21-year-old Rodrigue Mucyo from Westbrook were taken into custody around 7:30 pm.
Police Chase
Police tried to pull the vehicle over on Roosevelt Trail for an OUI. The two men accelerated on Quaker Ridge Road, going 90 mph in a 45 zone.
Fled on Foot after Crash
The car crashed at the intersection of Graffam Road where the two men got out of the stolen vehicle and fled on foot into the woods, said WGME News.
K9 Found Men and Stolen Gun
A K9 team located Ibrahim and Mucyo shortly after the crash. They were both arrested. A stolen firearm was also found.
Taken to the Hospital and Jail
They were taken to Maine Medical Center and then transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
Multiple Charges
Ibrahim was charged with Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention, Failure to Stop, Eluding, Driving to Endanger, Reckless Conduct, Criminal Speeding, Operating Without a License, Receiving Stolen Property, Probation Violation, OUI Refusal.
Mucyo was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Probation Violation, Two active Arrest Warrants.
