Tractor Trailer Crash on I-95 in Island Falls, Maine

Police said a 34-year-old man suffered a medical condition that caused him to drive off the I-95 roadway in Island Falls Saturday morning.

Justin Petroff from Deerfield, MA was hauling potatoes in a 2000 Freightliner owned by JM Pasiecnick Farms LLC when he went off the road and ended up in the trees around 10:37 am Saturday. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said officials.

Petroff’s medical condition was not made available.

Trooper Saucier reported to the scene. He was assisted by Tr. Rob Flynn, MSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, Tr. Plaisted, and Dep. York from the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.

The tractor trailer had extensive damage and was towed away.
