Wrong-Way Driver on I-95 Arrested & Charged with OUI in Maine
A 60-year-old man was arrested for OUI Friday evening after driving the wrong-way on I-95 in Old Town.
Wrong-Way on Interstate Charged
Eric Nicolar from Indian Island was charged with Operating Under the Influence, Driving to Endanger, and Failure to Stop.
Trooper Immobilized Vehicle with Cruiser
The Maine State Police said Sergeant Christopher Hashey tried to stop Nicolar two times before using his cruiser to immobilize the vehicle going the wrong-way on Exit 197.
Both Vehicles Damaged
Both vehicles were damaged and towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
Taken to Jail
Nicolar was taken into custody and transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
