Three Children, Father and Dogs Escape House Fire in Maine
Three children, their father and two dogs escaped a house fire early Sunday morning in Searsmont.
Family Escaped Early Morning Fire
The fire on Levenseller Pond Road started around 1:30 am. A dog barking alerted the family to the fire. A neighbor who is a firefighter was the first on the scene around 1:42 am to find the house fully involved.
Father Burned Legs and Feet
Police said the father had burns on his feet and legs. The fire destroyed the home, said the Penbay Pilot.
Cause of Fire under Investigation
The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
