
Teens Charged after Robbery & Armed Standoff with Police in Maine
Ten people were apprehended including several teens after a robbery and armed standoff on Lake Street in Auburn.
Teen Robbed and Threatened with Weapons
The Auburn Police Department said the incident started early Sunday morning after a 17-year-old male was robbed of his clothes, shoes and personal possessions by suspects threatening him with guns and a knife.
Victim Chased with Weapons
The victim told police that he fled the apartment on foot and was chased by the suspects with weapons.
Building Surrounded
Officers surrounded the building after the suspects refused to comply. The Maine State Police Tactical Team was called to the scene along with other law enforcement.
Ages ranged from 13 to 21-Years-Old
Nine people in ages from 13 to 21 exited the apartment after close to 10 hours.
Teen Jumped out of Window
A 17-year-old who was reported to have brandished the gun refused to leave and barricaded himself inside. He jumped from the second floor window when the Tactical Team tried to enter the apartment with a warrant.
Three Juveniles Charged
Three juveniles were charged with Robbery, Theft, Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Creating a Police Standoff. They were taken to Long Creek Youth Development Center.
Two 17-Year-Olds with Priors
One 17-year-old was on Juvenile Probation and the other 17-year-old was under House Arrest.

More Charges Possible
“The remaining individuals from the apartment were questioned and released without charges at this time. Additional charges may be considered as the investigation continues,” said Auburn PD.
