A 37-year-old woman was pulled from the Androscoggin River Sunday afternoon and resuscitated after she was given Narcan and CPR in Auburn.

Police Responded to Report of Body Floating in the River

The Auburn Police Department said officers responded to a call around 2:24 pm for “a body floating in the Androscoggin River between Main and Mill Streets.”

Woman in River Pulled to Shore and Given Narcan and CPR

First responders located the woman and pulled her to shore. They gave her Narcan and performed CPR as life-saving measures.

Regained Vital Signs at the Scene After Emergency First Aid

The woman responded to the treatment and regained her vital signs.

Woman Transported to the Hospital and Listed in Stable Condition

She was taken to Central Maine Medical Center by the Auburn Fire Department and was listed in stable condition.

The Auburn Police Department said they commend “the quick actions of the responding police officers and firefighters, whose rapid intervention helped save this woman’s life.”
