A 49-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning and charged with domestic violence assault after a standoff with police in Waterville.
Man Did Not Comply with Police and Created a Standoff Before Arrest
Christopher Bryant from Fairfield was taken into custody after refusing to leave a residence at 267 Main Street.
Early Morning Standoff at Home after Call to Law Enforcement
Police were called to the home for a domestic dispute around 2:40 am.

Bryant complied with police orders and exited the home around 6:45 am.
Taken Into Custody and Transported to the County Jail
He was apprehended and taken to the Kennebec County Jail.
