Police are investigating after a man’s body was recovered from Lake Auburn on Wednesday morning.

Police Recovered Body in the Lake Believed to be a 46-Year-old Man

The Auburn Police Department said the body is believed to be a 46-year-old man.

Identity Pending Until Family is Notified

The identity has not been released until the family is notified.

Motorist Called 911 after Seeing Body Floating in the Water

A motorist driving in the area of 166 Lake Shore Drive saw the body floating in the water and called 911.

Fire Department Deployed a Boat and Body Recovered from Lake

The Auburn Fire Department also responded to the scene and deployed a rescue boat off Route 4 to recover the body from the lake.

Confirming Identity and Cause and Manner of Death

The body was taken to a local funeral home where the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will do an examination to confirm the man’s identity and the cause and manner of death.

No Indication of Foul Play with Ongoing Investigation

“This remains an active investigation; however, there are no indications of foul play,” according to Auburn PD.
