Maine's Matt Mulligan is back in the NFL, this time with the Detroit Lions. For Mulligan it will be his 10th NFL team since signing as an undrafted free agent back in 2008.

Mulligan started five games and played in 12 games for the Buffalo Bills last season before being released in December.

He has played for the Jets, Patriots, Packers, Cardinals, Titans, Bills, Bears and Dolphins. Mulligan is best known as a run blocker. He does have 17 career catches and 2 TDs.

Mulligan was an outstanding athlete at Penobscot Valley HS in Howland. He did not play football until his college days.

NOTE: Bob Quinn is the new GM of the Detroit Lions. He comes from the Patriots organization and is familiar with Mulligan from his time with the Pats.
