Man Arrested for OUI after Hitting Police Cruiser in Maine
A 45-year-old man has been arrested for Operating Under the Influence after crashing into a police cruiser in Westbrook.
Driving the Wrong Way
The Westbrook Police Department said Matthew McGovern of Westbrook was driving the wrong way on William Clarke Dive around 8:25 pm Sunday.
Suspect Hit Police Cruiser with Lights On
Police turned on their lights, but McGovern did not stop. He collided with the cruiser. No one was injured. Police said the cruiser's push bumper absorbed the impact.
Charged with OUI, Possession and More
McGovern was charged with OUI, aggravated driving to endanger, reckless conduct, unlawful drug possession, and criminal mischief. He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail.
