Six People Arrested after Drug Trafficking Investigation in Maine

Six people were arrested on multiple drug charges after two search warrants were simultaneously executed at residences on Beech Hill in Rockland.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said the arrests came after several months of investigation into illegal drug trafficking in the area.

Undercover Purchases of Narcotics

Agents made undercover purchases of illegal narcotics from the residences over the past several months.

Fentanyl, Crack, Shotguns, Rifles Seized and Dog removed

Seized during the searches was 60 grams of fentanyl, 8 grams of cocaine base, four handguns, three shotguns and seven rifles. A loaded AK 47, is suspected to have been altered to a fully automatic firearm. Agents also removed a St. Bernard from one of the residences due to the animal’s living conditions and neglect.

Six People Arrested

41-year-old Eldon Bennett from Rockport for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and outstanding arrest warrants. Bail was set at $10,000.
40-year-old Holly Beaupre from Rockport who was charged with Unlawful Drug Possession. Beaupre was held without bail.
33-year-old Sean Oesterlin from Rockport was arrested for Aggravated Drug Trafficking. Bail was set at $10,000 Unsecured cash.
37-year-old Lawrence Wotton-Thayer from Waldoboro was arrested on one count of Unlawful Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and outstanding arrest warrants. Bail was set at $1000 cash.
38-year-old Luis Cheveres-Rivera from Elizabeth, New Jersey was arrested for one count of Aggravated Drug Trafficking. Bail was set at $10,000 cash.
32-year-old Randy Lohones from Dorchester, Massachusetts was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and outstanding arrest warrants. Lohones was held without bail.

Assisting the MDEA in this investigation were the Camden/Rockport Police Department, Rockland Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Rockport Fire Department.
