Man Provided False Information to Purchase Firearm
Rhine was under indictment on May 5, 2024 when he falsely filled out Form 4473 to purchase a firearm in Maine.
Prior Indictment for Aggravated Drug Trafficking in Maine
He was indicted on June 8, 2023 in Hancock Superior Court for Aggravated Drug Trafficking.

Man Answered No to Indictments on Firearms Purchase Form
“In response to the question, “Are you under indictment or information in any court for a felony, or any other crime for which the judge could imprison you for more than one year . . .?,” Rhine falsely checked the box “No,”” according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

Purchased Firearm with False Statement on Form
Rhine was able to purchase the firearm a few days later based on the false statement.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
