A 24-year-old man was seriously injured Wednesday evening after a single-vehicle crash in Trescott Township.

Man was Ejected from the Vehicle and Seriously Injured

Christopher Davenport from Northfield was ejected from the vehicle.

Driver was not Wearing a Seatbelt at the Time of the Crash

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

The Maine State Police were at the Scene

The Maine State Police responded to the crash on Dixie Road around 4:10 pm.

Lost Control of the Vehicle and Left the Roadway

Troopers said Davenport was driving southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway. He was the only person in the vehicle.

Driver Seriously Injured and Taken to the Hospital and Transferred

Davenport was seriously injured and transported to the Down East Community Hospital and later transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Speed and Alcohol are Believed to be Factors in the Crash

“Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing,” said the Maine Department of Public Safety.
