A 36-year-old woman has died after a head-on crash in Poland, Maine on February 10.

Woman Died after Two-vehicle Crash

Brittaney Rogers from Raymond was pronounced dead Monday at Central Maine Medical Center.

Woman was a Passenger and Seriously Injured and Driver Died

Rogers was a passenger in a Jeep Cherokee driven by 26-year-old Dylan Sanphy from Gorham. He died at the scene.

Jeep was Attempting to Pass Another Vehicle when the Crash Occurred

The Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office said Sanphy was trying to pass a vehicle on Plains Road when the collision happened.

Second Woman Seriously injured and Taken to the Hospital

Another woman in the Jeep was seriously injured and also transported to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment.

Second Driver was Evaluated for Injuries and Released

The driver in the other vehicle, 52-year-old Edward Morris from Mechanic Falls, was evaluated by first responders and did not go to the hospital.

Truck was Towing an Enclosed Snowmobile Trailer

Morris was driving a Chevy Silverado 2500 and towing an enclosed snowmobile trailer at the time of the crash.

Ongoing Crash Investigation with Multiple Agencies Responding

The investigation is ongoing. Assisting the Androscoggin Sheriff's Office was the Poland Fire Rescue Department.
