One Girl Died from Stab Wounds & One Died from Injuries in Maine
Officials have released the cause of death of two young girls in Mechanic Falls on July 27.
One Girl Stabbed Multiple Times and One Girl Died from Injuries
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner said “The cause of death for one juvenile is multiple stab wounds. The cause of death for the other juvenile is multiple injuries. The manner of deaths for both juveniles is homicide.”
Mother’s Cause of Death Pending
The cause of death of the children’s mother has not been released and is “pending additional testing.” Her death was ruled a suicide, said the OCME.
Bodies of Two Girls and Mother Found in Residence
The Mechanic Falls Police Department said the bodies of 7-year-old Hope West, 11-year-old Harmony West and their mother, 37-year-old Jennifer Barney, were found July 27 at a residence on Highland Avenue.
