Mother and Three Children Involved in Rollover on Route 11

Around 1:30pm Thursday the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle accident on Route 11, north of Knowles Corner involving a mother and her three children.

According to the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office, 45-year-old Kimberly Hutchins of Lewiston lost control of her 2003 Dodge Caravan and slid off the road while heading north on Route 11.

The vehicle rolled over once, slammed into a tree and came to a rest upright.

Ms. Hutchins along with one of her children were taken to the Houlton Regional Hospital by Ashland Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Her other two children were uninjured.

The Caravan is believed to be totaled.

Deputy Sheriff Kris Malmborg investigated the crash along with State Troopers Shawn Whalen and Jacob Ferland. Ashland and Patten ambulance services and the Ashland Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
