Driver Injured after Utility Pole Crash & Downed Wires in Maine
One person was injured after a crash with a utility pole on Route 4 in Turner on Saturday evening.
Wires Across the Road after Pole Fell
Officials said the pole fell and wires were down across the roadway on Route 4 near Weston Road.
Driver Injured in Crash with Pole
The driver was injured and taken to a local hospital. Name and age were not released.
Road Closed for Hours and Traffic Detoured
Route 4 was closed for almost five hours. Traffic in the area was detoured to Tidswell Road and Weston Road, said the Sun Journal.
First Responders on the Scene
Responding to the scene was the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, Turner Fire Rescue, and the Buckfield and Livermore Fire Departments.
