Two people were injured after a car and bus collided on Maine Street in Westbrook.

The Westbrook Police Department said a Toyota Corolla rear-ended a Metro Bus after it pulled over at a bus stop near Riverbank Park on Wednesday.
Shoe was Lodged under the Car’s Pedals
Police said the driver in the Toyota “had taken their shoes off, and one of the shoes became lodged underneath the pedals, causing them to be unable to stop the car.”
Two People Injured in Crash
The bus driver and the Toyota driver had minor injuries. No passengers were hurt on the bus. Names and ages were not released.
