‘Good Samaritan’ Saved Man from Burning Vehicle in Maine
Officials are looking for a “good Samaritan” who pulled a man from a vehicle that was on fire after a crash on Swamp Road in Lebanon Tuesday night.
“Good Samaritan” Saved Man from Burning Vehicle after Crash
The York County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle went off the road and hit a tree. The driver was trapped in the automobile as it caught on fire.
Vehicle on Fire and Driver Already Helped Out
When first responders arrived on the scene, “the vehicle was on fire but the driver was safely out of the vehicle where he received medical attention and was subsequently transported to the hospital.”
Man Left Before Police Arrived
Witnesses said a passerby, who they did not know, pulled the man from the vehicle when the fire started. The “good Samaritan” left before police arrived.
Deputies Looking for “Good Samaritan”
The Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate and identify the person who helped the driver. Call the York County Sheriff’s Office at 324-1113 if you have any information.
