Two Men Injured after Rollover Crash on I-95 in Maine
A 25-year-old man was in stable but critical condition Wednesday night after being extracted from a vehicle following a rollover crash on I-95 in Fairfield.
Driver Extricated from Vehicle in Critical Condition
The Maine State Police said Derrick Plowden from Rockland was driving the vehicle. He was taken to Maine Medical Center.
Passenger Crawled to Safety
Thirty-five-year-old Jimal Gerard from Rockland was also in the vehicle as a passenger. He managed to crawl out to safety with minor injuries.
Bystanders Helping Two Men
“A 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee was on its roof in the median when Troopers arrived and bystanders were helping the occupants of the crash,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
“Speed and Impairment” are Likely Factors
“Speed and suspected impairment are likely factors in the crash which remains under investigation,” said Moss.
