A man and woman were arrested Monday and charged with kidnapping and assault in Lewiston.
Man and Woman Charged after Man was Tied, Beaten and Burned
The Lewiston Police Department responded to a call of a man in distress in an apartment at 73 Pine Street.
Male Victim was Tied Up, Beaten and Burned During Assault
Officers found a 37-year-old man who had been tied up, badly beaten and burned during an assault.

Man was Taken to the Hospital with Serious Injuries
He was transported to the hospital with serious and non-life threatening injuries.
Victim was Lured to the Apartment and Assaulted and Threatened with a Gun
“During the investigation, police learned that the victim had been lured to the apartment, assaulted, and threatened with a firearm,” according to Lewiston PD.

Police arrested 44-year-old Zachery Paradis and charged him with Criminal Restraint, Kidnapping, Elevated Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. He was on probation.

Also arrested was 42-year-old Jennifer Dionne who was charged with Criminal Restraint, Kidnapping, Elevated Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon.
